Played live at a casino for the first time in quite a while. The change from online to live poker is a weird one, this game is so bad, that play LAG really is a tough way to go. So one folds to my CBs so I gave up and went back to a more passive preflop style. I did have a winning sessions thought it took me almost 10 hrs of play to be ahead for the first time.

I raise to $15 with , get 2 callers. Flop is K Jh 9h. I lead $35, shorty calls all in for $30 , moron #2 calls too. Turn K, river 4. It checks down with the all in player I cant push the turn which is what I would have dont otherwise. Moron #2 has AQo, shorty triples up with Q9.

I the Sb with 47o flop is 4 . I lead $12, get 2 callers. Turn , checks around. River 9.

I get KK raise to $20 after 3 people limped. One caller who has $80 left. Flop is 7 , he pushs, I call. He has 99

Straddle pot, one of the retard regulars raises to $26, we are both $300 deep. I look at JJ and deciede to just call. Flop is ATX, he checks, I lead $40, he pushs. I muck ,he of course has TT.

I raise from the button with 99. Flop is J . Checks to me, I lead $35, dealer from the SB calls. Same regular moron from hand above CR to $135. I muck, so does dealer who had 88. Moron has J9, I guess at least the case 9 didn't hit.

A little luck helps sometimes. I complete from the SB with KQo. Flop is K63. I lead $15 and get 3 callers. Turn Q, I check, terrible old man bets $30. I raise to $90. He calls. River brick, I put him in for his last $60 and he calls with AK.

Finally a good hand for me after winning almost nothing for the first couple hours. I call a $15 from the SB with AK. Flop is AK6, I check. Villian fires $15. I just call one time. Turn brick brings the club draw. I check, he bets $20, I raise to $60. He calls river , I push for $90 more. He calls with AQ.

This is when the fun with maniac dealer beigns.

The next hand after my double up. I limp the button with flop is J . Moron dealer bets $6, 2 callers, I raise to $36, he pushs for $100 total. I call, of course he limped UTG withT8, no 4 outter for me.

I am the Button with . Flop is . He bets $15, I raise to $45, he pushs for $400, I cover. He has been on super tilt and has been all in probably 20 times in the last 4 rounds. I call, no more clubs come. He says he missed and shows

I really didn't run all that hot, I didn't flop a set as seems to be par for the course for me playing live. I couldnt hit a draw to save my life, I was pretty much just lucky that the moron dumped $400 to me and I hit a Q on the river vs slowplayed AK. Overall +$320 14.5 hrs and for the record it still amazes me how bad live players play, even the winning players at this game have huge holes in the their game.

I think thats what they call a rush, its been a while since I have run this hot in one session. In less than 2 hours of play yesterday I was up 10 buyins, then took two bad beats and ended the say up a little over 8. Thirteen buy-ins in 2k hands is a pretty nice run, hope it continues.

Well today was the anti-rush. Not real nice timing but today was an ugly poker day. I played some live poker first with donkbert. I had a nice rush at the beggining, a couple of people were nice enough to pretty much give me money. Then I went ice cold and spent the last 2.5 hrs not winning a pot. Finally we left when the game went completely rock tight.

Got Home to play some bodog, I now have 25 buyins to play $100 Nl so I decided I would start playing $100 NL I should have know that I am usually cursed when I first decide to move up.

I actually won a full stack right off the bat, limping AK, calling a raise flopping top 2 and stacking AQ.

Then the ass raping commenced.
I raise to $6 from the CO with flop is AK2, same dood from the AQ leads into me $12, I raise to $35, he makes it $100, I push. He calls and tables AA. Sweet always nice to get it all in with top 2 in a 4 buyin pot and be drawing 990:1.

I call a raise from LP with 89 flop is 986, PFR leads $5 one caller, I raise to $30, he calls, turn 3. He checks, I pushs he calls with 66.

I raise to $5 with 99 flop is T87, shorty leads $10, I push for his last $35. He calls with T8, I dont suck out.

Live poker, hell is going to freeze over before I flop a set another 4 hrs without flopping a set, leaving us at 18.5. - $45 4 hrs

Online poker 400 hands of $100nl -2.5 buyins no sets. That rush thing was nice but appears to have gone up in a puff of smoke.

Mehhh is the best thing I can say. I got an email from Intuit and I didnt get the job I had really been hoping for. I got through the phone interview and was one of 14 people that interviewed onsite last Thursday. I though the interviews went pretty well but I guess not well enough. I am a little dissapointed, Intuit is the #1 software job in San Diego and I really thought I was going to get it. I made a couple small mistakes on the super technical interview which I guess cost me, the other two interviews went really well. I really could have done without getting the rejection email the first day of my Thanksgiving vacation. Always nice to get a downer the first day of vacation.

So back to poker, yesterday the normal drive from San Diego to my moms house in the bay area. The drive pretty much sucks ass, yesterday was worse, apperently I am not the only one trying to drive somewhere 2 days before Thanksgiving. I stopped at Commerce as I usually do to break up the drive a little. As I said before the players are freakin awful. It actually takes a little time to adjust to how bad the players are.

Some hands I call a $20 raise with 99, 2 other callers. Flop is 632, checks to me I bet $50, shorty pushs for $40 more. I call turn J river 5, he tables 55 mehh.

I raise to $20 with flop is 5, utg bets $15, ABC girl makes it $60, ok WTF I push for $120. Guy from the first hand says lets gamble and pushs for $300. Both fold, turn A river T, he says I missed turns over 64. LOL thanks, the girl gets all pissy because she had 57 and was going to call for sure.

Run of uglyness with big pairs

I limp JJ, there is one comple maniac that has raises every hand and I was planning on limp raising him. He folds and tight player from the BB makes it $25, shit now what. I decide to just call and re-evaluate later, two other callers.. Flop is T87, he bets $100, I tank and fold. Both other players call, turn brick, he pushs Both call again. River J, 2nd caller tables 99, other player had 66 LOL.

I get TT otb Solid player makes it $25, I call, so does one more BB makes it $100, original raisor pushs. AA vs QQ

I get TT the very next hand EP makes it $25, guy to my right makes it $75, I muck he has KK.

Shorty starts the hand with $100 ish, makes it $25, 2 callers. I look down at QQ, make it $125, raisor calls everyone else folds, he of course has KK

I get JJ, winner from the hand before has pissed away all my chips and rebought for $100. He limps UTG, I make it $25 with JJ, he calls. as do 2 others, flop is 972, he pushs for $75 more I call others fold. He of couse has QQ and of couse like the good chip redistribtion center he is, the double up is gone and he is busted again in less than an hour.

A couple different type sick hands.

I call a raise from UTG $500 with 88, 2 more callers, LP moron pushs for $130. UTG pushs, I fold. UTG has AA, moron has AK. I say out load please dont flop an 8. Flop is 882. Fuck me running

The very next hand I call a $25 raise after 2 callers with guy to my left makes it $125, raisor calls. I show the guy to my right the hand and say I'm folding the winner. Flop is and I am against K and Q .

I was running between suck $100 and even for most of the day. Finally at the end 2 good hand that got me up for the day.

I call a raise from one of the ba players with AQ. Flop is Q42, I check he bets $40. I call, turn Q, I check he bets $100, with $45 left. I put him in he folds.

I limp flop is K 6 I bet $20, SB check min raises. He is a really bad player who thinks he is god gift to poker. He keeps telling people how to play their hands and his adivce is awful. I call his raise. Turn he checks I bet $50, he calls. River 6h. He checks I bet $100 he calls. He goes on a little rant about the only way people can beat him is on the river. I dont think there is any way he could have had me beat, he was the BB if he flopped 2 pair or a set he makes a boat on the river, other than k9 in which case he played his hand terrbiliy. He checked the turn so he was afraid of the the ace, my guess is I was ahead the whole time or possibily chopping another KQ

Final result was +$75 in 6 hrs. Considering i ran 6 medium/ big pairs into bigger pairs and didint flop a set with my normal 20 pocket pairs winning is pretty nice. I have now played 24.5 hours of live poker without flopping a set. I have been running ice ice cold flopping sets live in my last 150 hrs.
