I don't like it. I'd rather see the economy itself decide what wages should be. Indexing it to inflation would seemingly force more inflation, at least to my untrained noodle.
Inflation goes up > boost wages > increases cost of production > requires price hikes > inflation goes up > etc, kinda like the 'Why I do cocaine' commercial from a few years back.
IMO, if you wanna help the economy then fix the damn healthcare system. There's the REAL trickle down theory in action. Rising healthcare is a much bigger scourge on the middle and lower classes than any minimum wage b.s., as anyone who has had to vote on a school budget will tell you.
