Okay,
I thought as the only wife who frequents this site it was time to post something and this seemed like the place.
Option 1 is the only answer. Option 2 will surely land you in the dog house for a few days as will Option 3.
Unless Lovely Lady is a complete control freak, Y is probably something minor (i.e cooking dinner, laundry, cleaning). Most women would not "demand" that you do something that will take all day. I also assume Y is something that she usually does on a regular basis (see above). In this case, you have to understand that you have come to expect Lovely Lady to do this for you on a regular basis, so her telling you to do it on a day when she is too tired is really not that big an issue.
That being said, doing Y wrong will usually work to get Lovely Lady to not ask you again for quite some time. Caveat - if you have shown that you have done it right in the past and do it wrong now out of spite, it may lead to Option 2.
