The opportunities of the 'green industrial revolution' SHOULD be viewd as exciting and a HUGE chance for companies to cash in...problem is that the american model has been so stagnant lately (for ex, see the collapse of airline and auto industries) and are too lazy/stubborn to EMBRACE the chance...it's too bad. In so many ways, doing things the GREEN way is CHEAPER than the dirty way, they're just too lazy/stupid or subsidized to change.

BK -- DAMN that's a great book. I couldn't put it down until I fell asleep.

Makes me wish I had the training/skills to be an engineer.

Awesome, awesome stuff. Anybody interested in an optimistic take on the future of the world vis-a-vis environmentalism should definitely check it out.

http://www.natcap.org/

has downloadable readable portions of the book online.
