With music and hi-fi, we are in total accord. Finding Zeppelin and Dylan in her music collection put the icing on the cake.

CD's can give good sound and are very convenient, but if I want to sit down for a while and listen to music at a decent volume then it's vinyl all the way.

Don't besmirch (sp?) the younger ones...we know what vinyl is...if we care about music, that is :P

I wasn't besmirching younger ones, I was poking fun at those (like me) of a certain age who adhere to old analogue technology.

It's a problem - new technology is by definition supposed to be better than what it supercedes, but in this case it wasn't - a victory for the marketing men.
