Guys come on the media is not out to get conservatives, the media is there to make money. News stations like CNN have to report truth but they can spin it anyway they want. CNN's goal is to have people watch. So for this reason they follow the trends in society. The reason that they supported the gulf war is that the american people supported the gulf war. The circumstances are a lot different this time. This war is not popular amongst the American people (Bush's approval rating being under 40%, the trouble the armed forces have been having to get people to enlist) CNN jsut reflects the general unhappyness with the war. We all come from differnt places and have different views, I understand that for some people in Texas and more conservative places in the US it may seem like there is an abundance of support for the war, but as a whole this is on par with Vietnam is terms of support at home.
As for the WMD, the comment that Iraq has the capabilities to make them is not the point. The reason that invaded Iraq in the first place was because we claimed they broke they're agreement and had WMD.
Sure removing Sadam is a good thing for Iraq and the rest of the world but this is not our job. There are terrible dicators all around the world, we dont invade every country that has a bad person running it.
I'm sure I'm going to take some heat for this but I'm going to say it anyways. The current administration looks really bad right now, there is no feasable exit plan for Iraq that anyone had heard. His approval rating is one of the worst since we started taking these statistics, if something doesnt change in the next year +, GW may go down in history as one of the worst presidents ever. Go ahead fire away.
