U are in LP
say you have
[Kc]
and the flop comes
[8d][Kc]
it is bet in EP and u raise it in LP, and all fold except for the EP who bet on the flop
turn
Now he checks to me. Is the best plan of action to check it back? I am thinking he is most likely on a K, and this A is a scare card for him bigtime. So if I bet again he may fold. This may also give him a chance to hit his kicker and this pay me off huge, and it will put doubt in his mind about my hand as well. Then he is more likley to buy my value bet on the end. Obviously, I would not check it back on a draw happy flop, but this is just something i have been curious about.
Another situation would be when there are no draws on the flop and I hit tripps on the turn with top pair. A couple times this happened to me and I bet it and my opponent folded, there was no draw on the flop and i think he was calling with 2nd pair. Is this another time i should be so inclined to check it back on the turn??
I am starting to think about stuff like this more now and I need somebody with more skills than I to help me. Do any of the above 2 make any sense?? Thanks Guys!!
