You guys (except Godlike) are a lot tighter than I am.
Preflop raiser is loose and agressive postflop. This guy could be betting out with anything. Most likely a hand like A10-AK since he is in second position, or a flush draw. If you're going to call raises with JJ at all, this has got to be one of the better flops for it. My vote is to raise it up on the flop, something substantial, say like 15-20 more and see what happens. If he goes over the top then you probably have to lay it down. But if he just calls be ready to put him in the turn if its favorable.
Also, lag bet 9 on the flop, 3/4 of the pot. I think if he had a hand like AA-QQ or TT he would probably bet the full pot because he doesn't like that flush draw. Smells like a continuation bet and a strong raise could have won the pot. We also know that UTG is tight passive before the flop, but after that flop he's agressive. If he had a hand we would probably have seen a bet out of him.
If you don't want to lose any money with JJ finding out if you're ahead, you might as well just fold them to a player you know is going to make a continuation bet if its checked to him on the flop. If the only flop you are looking for is a set, then you should only get into cheap flops, otherwise I dont think its going to be profitable in the long run (particularly if you have a tight image, which I'm guessing you do).
I don't understand why no set, no bet is good in late position, or last to act like here. I would tend to set it or forget in early position with JJ against a strong preflop raise. But in position with a 10 high flop a don't see why an overpair is so weak that it must be folded.
"Oh, hell. I was about to go home anyway. I call."
