Infinite PFA?

Postby GodlikeRoy » Fri Aug 12, 2005 10:22 pm

Sometimes when I sit down at a table, i'll play for half an hour or so and notice my PFA is infinite. What exactly does that mean?

AF = (Raise% + Bet %) / Call %.

That means you are playing solid, Ultra Aggressive poker. Your call% is zero and Your AF is infinite.

Well done!! if it s not good enough to raise it, fold it! (wish i could do it)

Tonights session was my finest yet. Not infinite but... Here's my aggression stats:

Flop...... 31
Turn..... 0
River.... 0
--------------
Total..... 45

Funny thing is my PT now ranks me "Weak Tight" :lol:

Stone,

I have noticed that the new rules are rating very solid players as WT. There are a few things that need to be changed there I think. If I can recall correctly, the only number used to rate WT is the WtSD%, isnt it?. Thats not right.

Haha thanks, i posted my stats a few days ago and told i was playing far too weak/tight so i did a complete 180 and now i've totally changed that. I've found the variance to be MUCH higher, and i've actually lost money over the 2k or so hands i've played, but i find it to be a much better way of playing and most of my losses were bad beats when i was the favourite. This forum rocks :P

To be honest I have no idea if this extreme "raise or fold" strategy is more profitable than more ABC play... I'm mainly doing it as an experiment and because it's funny. :)

It makes sense though that it would both be profitable and make you a better player, since you remove the wimp option (ie: calling) and force yourself to make decisions. And since poker is all about making the right decisions...
