in MP, 2 limpers, I limp as well. One more limper after me, SB completes, and then the BB raises to 100. He has me covered. The 2 EP limpers fold, and I decide to call. The other limper and the SB fold.
BB is an OK player and has doubled up against a moron, so his stack size is not necessarily indicative of his playing skill. He is on the weak-tight side. Desipite the sub-optimal cards, I decided to call for 4 reasons: 1) I got the feeling that BB had a very big hand, like AA, KK, QQ, or AK. Thus, if I hit, I would likely get paid off. I also got the feeling that he thought his raise was big, but really, with 4 limpers in, his raise wasn't big at all. 2) The pot odds were good, with the dead money in the pot. 3) The stacks were pretty deep. 4) I had position, and I thought I might be able to outplay him, since I have been playing super-tight all night long.
Flop
Pot = $280.
BB bets $280, the full pot. I call.
Once again, I decide to call here. I think that he is scared of something, with the full pot bet. It's either the ace or the club. I think there is a very good chance I can get him to fold on the turn. If a club comes and he checks, I got him. If a club doesnt come and he checks, I can take a free card or try to move him off of KK, QQ, etc... OR, in the alternative, I have outs, with the double gutter. No chance he has the flush.
Turn
Pot = $840
BB bets $800. I call. OK. I am sure I have the best hand, and I also think he has AA, or AK with the Kc. If the board doesnt pair the river, I'm getting it all-in. I probably should have moved in here, but lets ignore that for now.
River
Pot = $2480.
BB bets $1200, I move-in for my remaining 600 or so, he calls.
OK -
1) Did I play horribly in this hand?
2) What does BB have?
Thoughts / comments?
