I'm dealt
[6h] UTG. I limp.. 1 more limper and the BB raises to $10. The BB is an absoulte rock. He plays only top ten...his raise here in EP signifes a monster. I call as does the limper. We all have about $200.
FLOP $31 (there wasn't 3 to the flush..i screwed up)
[4d][7h]
BB (rock) bets $16. I strongly though about cold calling here...but I didn't want the limper to get a cheap look at a draw..plus i wanted to build the pot. I raise to $40. Limper folds but rock calls.
TURN $$111
[4d][7h][4c]
Opponent checks. I check. I think this was a mistake. I was hoping the draws wouldn't hit on the river..and rock would bet his overpair..but that's plain foolish. He'd be stupid to bet anymore money into this hand, no matter what the river is. I believe at this point I should have made a value bet..like $25...just to build the pot. Thoguhts???
RIVER $111
[4d][7h][4c][5c]
Well one of the draws hit. Opponent checks...I bet $60..hoping he'll think i'm bluffing. He does and calls with
[Ad].
Thoughts on how to play this differently??
[Kd]. obviously you're going to have a hard time getting paid off on that flop.
[Qd]. he also isn't likely to believed that you'd play a made boat like that. and since it seems clear that he has a monster, i think it's entirely possible that he could put you on something as small as
