Standard prima table, ie: pretty loose, not too aggressive. My opponent in this hand is the only one who covers me, we both have ~$45. I have no read on him, meaning I haven't seen him do anything stupid or spectacular.

I decide to limp with AA utg hoping for a raise obviously, especially from "Kimppa" who's a muppet and can't let go of his hands at all (I've seen him bluff off his stack with 6 high after calling all the way to the river with no pair no draw). Unfortunately, only the big stack limps behind, and the BB checks.

I would fold too. The limp re-raise didn't work, so now it is time to not lose your ass in an unraised pot.

I folded, so I don't know what he had. My thought was 98 for the straight, possibly QT for two-pair, just like K3nt.

Solid fold here, once you fail to limp raise here you have to be willing to fold when your opponant shows stregth, your opponant could now have almost anything and all you have is one pair.

I'm sure he was looking for a limp reraise trodgers....

It's a play I often do from UTG..and now looking at my poker tracker stats...UTG is my best winning position.

I think open-limping AA is fine in EP, and possibly MP if you have aggressive players in LP. Obviously it's not my *intent* to let people in cheaply, quite the opposite, but that's not a huge disaster as long as you can get away from it.

I felt this fold was a significant step in my development, a month or so ago I probably wouldn't have let it go. Something I read on this forum (from Iceman I think) about playing a limped AA/KK like TPTK was at the front of my mind at this time.

I was suprised as anyone looking at my UTG stats and seeing .27 BB won per hand. My button stats are .18 so it's a significant difference too. These stats listed are mostly from prima..a little bit from party. All this year.

Lately from UTG I have been limping with AK, AA, and KK. I raise with QQ. and will limp with JJ (just looking for a set from JJ.) Occasionly I will open raise with a suited connector to mix it up. I will limp with any other pocket pair. My VP$IP is 9.72 from UTG.

I don't always limp with those big hands of course. It depends a lot on table texture. I'm more then happy to throw my AA and KK away if I get a lot of action; if the hand isn't raised preflop.

I will sometimes limp reraise with AK, depending on the action...represnting AA. Even if they call the raise....they probably fold to the flop bet 80% of the time. I'm willing to put out some fairly big bets doing these plays...so it's not for the faint of heart.
