Why not try NL cash games? The variance is much less severe than in tournaments.

Well for one - I don't particularly enjoy NL cash games - much like I didn't really like PLO. Since I am playing for entertainment with profit - I am willing to sacrifice some of my bottom line in order to actually enjoy what I am doing.

Now for some reason, I do enjoy NL tournaments (though that took me a while - and I still do enjoy limit O8 and limit HE tournaments) - so that's why I play those so often.

And the last reason - in terms of experience and comfort - I would put hold'em (and by extension NL HE) as one of my least proficient games behind Omaha Hi/Lo, Stud Hi/Lo, Stud, Omaha, Razz. It does beat out crazy pineapple and triple draw though...

Ultimately though - I haven't put the effort into learning how to play NL cash games and have put my effort in other areas that I do enjoy. That said, I do plan on trying my feet and hands at PLO again once my bankroll recovers.

Last night was not so impressive and was a loss overall. I was probably pushing myself at the end in order to turn a profit and the first time I yawned was certainly when I signed off.

Only cashed in 1 out of 4 tournaments last night, but for the last one, I just made an absolute mess of things - betting into an opponent that I had read for a straight draw. When the straight hit - he still checked and I still donked off my chips. Blah. Winning that hand would have put me in very good position. Losing that hand was just what I should've accepted. Even if I had checked the river - I would have still had ~5k with blinds at 100/200 - so still in fine condition...

The omaha tables last night were much of the same I had the other night - losing more showdowns than I'd like and ending up with a loss overall this time. Plenty of money to be had - just my hands weren't holding up enough to manage it. There were four instances that I read the situation correctly when checked to on the river that I correctly checked and was shown the nut-nut to get quartered rather than taking three-quarters as I was expecting on the turn.

My omaha game is still a little rusty - but I'm managing to build it back up slowly.

The Sunday 100k satellitesare ridiculous easy, its a 500% return, the fee is reasonable and are being offered each 30 min. You can sell T$ for 98% , I think.

I don't know - for only a 500% payout - I'd rather be playing a SNG or something similar. I wouldn't be selling off the T$ since I play plenty of tournaments anyway - but for such the investment of time and money - I'd much rather be in a full multi. It might just be me of course, but that's the way I like things.

Once I start getting a decent number of FPPs coming in - I will probaly continue with the 70FPP SNG satellites to the tournament. Those also are rediculously easy - but they are also over in less than an hour from what I have seen/experienced.
