This hand has had me thinking, wanted some opinons.

UTG ($59)
UTG+1 ($118.15)
MP1 ($48.5)
Hero ($96.05)
MP3 ($29.1)
CO ($99.8)

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with [Qh], [Ah]. SB posts a blind of $0.5.
3 folds, Hero raises to $4, 3 folds, SB (poster) calls $3.50, 1 fold.

Flop: ($9) [Th], [9c], [Qd] (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $7, SB calls $7.

Turn: ($23) [8h] (2 players)
SB checks, Hero checks.

River: ($23) [Ad] (2 players)
SB bets $10, Hero folds.

Final Pot: $33

Results in white below:

Outcome: SB wins $33.

Obviously, the turn is where my problems start with this hand. A guy called a $7 bet on a Q9T board, I have to strongly consider the possibility that this guy has a Jack of some kind. Now he checks to me, which isn't really that surprising, because if he has a weak hand like a weak queen, or just a ten, or even something like 2 pair which has become somewhat weak due to the board now, I'd expect him to check most of the time, and I'd expect most people to check if they had a Jack trying to slow play me. So at this point, my rationale was that I should check behind because I have now picked up outs to the nut flush and if I make it and he does have a jack, being first to act after the turn checked through, he's gonna have to make a bet not wanting to risk me checking behind him, and it's gonna be hard for him to put me on the runner runner flush given the way I played it. The problem then is, by checking, if I don't hit a heart, I'm giving him a free pass to bluff a Jack on the river, I've made absolutely no effort to further define his hand, and cannot possibly call this bet on the river. In this specific case, I really do think he had a Jack, but that's not really the point, the point is, should I make a bet at the turn to take away his ability to bluff the river, or should I have played it like I did, accepting that I may be beat, but have outs to win?

seems like there are a lot of hands that you can beat there if hes a bad player (aka one to have a jack in that situation except for jj) and $10 into a $23 pot seems like its giving you odds ok to call i would close my eyes and hope for the best.
I got my hair highlighted, because I felt some strands were more important that others.

Call me crazy but I don't think this guy can lead for $20 first to act here without a Jack, if he does and has 2 pair or even just an ace, well then he has balls of steel and I applaud him for it, but I'm not making this call.

Nobody bluffs $10 into a $23 pot at the river. He had a jack..Good fold.
