floflosolo was TA (VP$IP 18, WtSD 20) over 130 hands and is a generally winning player. Is this too weak tight?

WOW...you folded that? Way weak tight...WAY weak tight.

Yeah no way I can fold AA here. Alot of hands you crush play exactly the way you opponent did.

At the same tables I prefer betting closer to full pot here esp. OOP, so I'd make it $8.

Don't let people push you off the flop so easily, esp. when there are draws around. Many players will play a FD, T9 or AJ this way.

Maybe folding was too WT but I am a little confused about why its so obsiously WT, so please help me out.

The hands that I can put him on
1) / / 9T: I am going to be a 2:1 fav
2) AJ: IMO very unlikley for someone with a VPIP < 20 at 6 max
3) Something that missed: Very few players at this level make this play.
4) Pair + flush draw: I am going to coin flipping
5) A set: I am going to be 10:1 dog
6) QQ, KK: Unlikey because there was no re-raise preflop.

2 and 3 are unlikely enough that I don't think they are worth talking about. 4 is also unlikely but is is basically neutral EV so not a big deal either way. I am OOP so every time I run into something from 1 or 6 they are going to be able to control the pot and I will win a small one. Everytime I run into something from 5 I will lose a big one.

I realize there are also meta game considerations but I don't think they are that important at this level.

What line does everyone prefer?

I just can't imagine the game conditions in which this fold could be correct. Moreover, you only have about 75BB and should be happy to play for stack almost on any flop.

My preferred line would be to push over his raise here.

As to your estimations of his range. 1-4 is way more likely than 5, and you underestimate the frequency of 6. And you should be happy to take a coinfliip with 1 and 4, as there is a lot of money in the pot and you don't want to be pushed around like that. And if you are going to move up oneday, that's a very bad habit that you are developing by folding here.

I probably call and bet a non club turn. I think a min raise on the flop can be a draw or a weak J even. On the turn... that's different.

I do think your basic line of thinking is good for Tri-donka. No need to go nutso with just a pair when they'll pay you off when you have stronger goods.
