Most expensive item(s) you've lost?

Postby GodlikeRoy » Mon Dec 25, 2006 11:20 pm

About a year ago I was spending a couple of days at a mate's place and decided to come home one night. I had a plastic bag with my electric toothbrush ($150), some Copag cards and a couple of drinks. All up worth about $200 i'd say.

My friend's brother once lost a Rolex watch, that's probably the most expensive thing i've heard of anyone losing.

Wallet with $3500 innit

Also, $5k in cash which was actually stolen because i know where i left it and it was gone- although no one ever figured out what happened to it, so it prolly ocunts as 'lost'.

Ooooo also when i was like 16 and played magic i put all my good cards into one binder for the comic convention the next day-- for all those that know magic, it had big blue innit, a full set of dual lands +, like 12 arabian serendib efreets, a dozen or so beta psiblasts, 24 manadrains (english), (those were my fave cards to collect) abysses, moats...oh god, it hurts just thinkin about it. ANyways i left it on the roof of my car while i was parked in front of the place where i used to play and then drove off. I figured out what happeneda few minutes later and sped my ass back there. Whoops, no ones seen it. Imagine that, NIHAN. That was prolly like $3k or so. Man that sucked...

That was 6 months of busily heebing everyone in everywhich way possible in trades down the fuckin toooobs...

Back story? Well, not too much of one... Although i guess that wallet could be considered stolen also--we were hangin with some girls we randomly met when we were gettin drunk at the bar at the Wynn...And we were gonna go out or somethin but we were gonna meet some mizors at the bellagio, so me and these two sluts who werent even that hot cabbed it over to bellagio to meet some other mizors and maybe goto a club or somethin- i had only had a couple drinkes before i got into the cab.. i took the wallet outta my pocket cuz my pants were feelin tite, because im a fat basterd n things, and laid it on the seat next to me... I even thought to myself MAN IM SOOOO GLAD IM NOT DRUNK CUZ IF I WAS I MIGHT LEAVE THIS DAMN THING IN HERE CUZ THATD BE SO SOMETHING ID DO...HAHA GOOD THING IM SOBER...HAH!

Then one of those whores of babylon started babbling about something which i dont remember but which i guarantee you was retarded, and i got sidetracked and hopped out of the cab leavin the wallet in there. The girls like sped the other way allofasudden and were like 'were gonna go see if our friend is blah blah blah, callus innabit' and shit, and walked off, and i was like okay whatevers....about twenty seconds later i realized that i didnt have my damn wallet, turned around and bolted to the door opin to catch the cab-- got restrained by security ans was like BUT..BUT...DOOD I...BUT...BUT....FUCK! So i never made it and the girls never wanted to hangout again, so im thinkin they mightve took it, or maybe they were just sober at that point and was like screw you guys....I'll never know, but the wallet, the 3500, all my ID's, credit cards, and come to think of it, a $750 giftcard to brooks brothers all were inthere, and it was a really really really bad beat.
