I wasn't convinced he had the flush because of the previous hand but he might have the same straight with a heart so I decided to call and see the river first. The river changed nothing. The bet on the river is expected whether he has a hand or not but I thought he might be bluffing. What do you do?

Im not a shorthanded expert by any means, but it seems to me that the game was playing more like a tourney. Alot more bluffing you didnt need as big a hand to win. Because of that, Im willing to call that bet with a str8 even with the flush staring at me.

On a side side note... I was really unhappy with my play (in the game.. not this hand). just thought I would mention that.

you played one hand and sat down shortstacked on a table that was playing a little manaical at times, its too short to say you are disappointed. Pretty much every had gone through at least one buy in at one point. Not me though

No, I lost a buy-in prior to that. I was up a bit, then got too agressive.

I didnt lose anything, but mainly because Palman doubled me up right off the bat when I flopped the nut flush and played possum.

I did lose it back to him with a horrible bluff later. NEVER BLUFF A CALLING STATION!...LOL. He did make a great call. I shouldnt have tried it.
