Gotcha. So your problem is with the "let's all be nice" "touchy feely" "oh he's only bullying you because he hurts inside" kind of crap that gets passed off as parenting among a lot of liberal types. Totally agree with that.
The big dig, um, yeah, that's a disaster, but I'm not sure it fits with what you're talking about.

Anyway, to equate "democrats" nationwide with prissy New England type liberals ... is a slander on the democrats. Dems have a pretty wide range of types of people. A democratic candidate for representative from Nebraska (Scott Kleeb) is not only an actual cowboy but a bull rider. Somehow I don't see him raising his kids to negotiate with bullies....
