I agree with Cactus, and much of what others are saying. However, don't be fooled into thinking this is just the Republicans, and the "Bush Regime". If anyone knows how to scream bloody murder, and make a stink, it's the Democrats. They are also able to hold up any bill or ammendmant they damn well please in the senate.

If the Dems were anymore concerned about your civil liberties than the Jesus party, everyone in the country would know about this bill, and the Republicans would be trying to figure out how to get a cloture vote in the senate.

The Democrats just want back in control of congress. They didn't think this issue would help them, so it got nothing more than some half hearted debate.

Our two party system now resembles rival gangs arguing over how to divide up territory and business, more than anything else. There isn't anyone really looking out for our rights anymore.

The Democrats spent all their energy this week trying to get Hastert to resign over Foley's emails, even though Foley is now long gone. Why? Next month's elections are more important than the next generation's freedoms.

BTW. It wasn't Bush. He doesn't ever need to get elected again. Frist has delusions about being President, and thinks this is going to get him mad brownie points with god and the women who vote with him.

Bush didn't vote on the law because he's not in congress. If he disagreed he would line-item veto the part about poker. The problem is he really DOES think god speaks to him and he's doing gods work.

Don't get me wrong, I hate Dems too. They are singlehandedly responsible for the pussification of America. (you know, the whole "everyone child in the spelling bee wins a prize" thing and the even worse "if one person out of 280,000,000 is offended by something then no one else can do it" thing). That sh!t pisses me off even more.

Both parties suck, we're f*cked, there is no hope, only the cold peace of death. Thank you, goodnight.
