meh
Be glad your opponents refuse to fold; if they didn't, you just might go broke.

when you say meh, I just picture Wade Boggs riding around Yankee stadium on a horse, thanking god for the opportunity to leave Boston for the Yankees.

I also sometimes like to think about Aaron Boone blasting aHR off of Timmeh Wakefield to end the 03 ALCS.

Now youre supposed to reply about how all that is moot because you guys came baclk from 0-3 down in 2004 to win your first title in a Coon's Age at our expense. I expect this and will give you my reply in advance:

here it is:

Meh.

I wish the 2004 postseason never happened.

But 26 to 1 is still quite one-sided.

I think I have a heterosexual mancrush on Jim Leyland:

Jim Leyland: "I've never had one player I was suspicious about being on steroids. To this day, I'm not sure I know what they are."

Now, obviously, he's lying, thats the first thing. But the way he's doing it, its just so old-school baseball. The rule I grew up on is 'what you see here, what you hear here, let it stay here when you leave here". Now, it sounds like a gay rhyme, BUT, I can ssure you with 100% surety, that this is posted in every one of the 30 major league clubhouses, and is most certainly posted within the hundreds of minor league clubhouses/locker rooms, as these I've seen personally.

Leyland's loyalty is admirable, but misplaced in this situation. The threat of steroids/PED abuse is too dire to just sweep under the rug due to age-old loyalty issues. Now, if he was my manager, and I saw these quotes, you all should know that players absolutely EAT this shit up. These guys will absolutely break their balls for him the rest of the yr. This guy is one of the best mgrs of all time because he knows babseball, but also gets his guys to trust him like a father figure, much like Joe Torre.

Steroids could ruin the game completely though, so I can't say I agree with his intentions here....just saying, if he were my mgr., he could count on me for life...still defending barry bonds 20 yrs later - wow.

any Tiger's fans out there?
