2001 and Apocalypse Now would be the best two movies I have ever seen. Other great movies...

Five Easy Pieces - Great and pretty small movie with Jack NIcholson. Real quality. It would probably go in the underrated category because I don't know of many non-film-buffs that have seen it.

Paths of Glory - B/w movie by Kubrick with Michael Douglas, about honor and integrity, set in France during the second world war.

Old Boy - Pretty original Korean movie. A guy gets kidnapped and is held captive for 15 years. Suddenly he's released and has to figure out why he was held, and who's responsible. Kind of cool.

Match Point - Very well made movie set in England. Razor sharp when it comes to dialogue, acting, photography. About chance and social climbing. Woody Allens latest.

Those are my random tips.

Old Boy... that was strange but good.

I thought Match Point blew goats hard. The acting seemed so bad it was painful to watch. I have friends that liked it though.

Salton Sea was very good... Orgazmo was funny, but prolly not as much as Baseketball...

Stoney... no offense, but I thought Apocolypse Now was ubercrap... It had a few good moments (ie... anything w/ Robert Duvall), but meh...

mindless action flicks that were underrated -- both Transporter movies.

Good movies, not necessarily underrated: The Sting, Unforgiven, Boondock Saints, Open Range, Basic Instinct (the first one, not the one that's out now).
