Thanks. I was about to post "hey... it's in Derk's signature... the only place I didn't check". Well that and Bankroll Management.

Without getting too much into the math here (Poisson processes and stuff) let me just say that this is beyond retarded. Casinos, both online and in real life, but upper limits on the amount you can bet in part because of Martingaling. Yes, you may make some money in the short term but overall it's -EV and thus not worth pursuing.

I demand to see the math!! I know this is a losing strategy in the long run. No one needs to convince me of that. But is it worth a gamble once? Might be interesting.

Heck, the lottery is worth a gamble once. But my pa told me, "If you don't win on that first ticket, it wasn't meant to be."
"Million dollar play, ten cent finish."

"My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives."

Honestly, if you want some fun and to see how "interesting" it is, then go ahead and gamble it up. Just as long as you know and everyone else involved knows that going into it you're effectively just giving online casinos money.

Also, by "Worth a gamble once" I get the feeling you are hoping to believe that it is a winning strategy in the short run. It is not. You MAY win in the short run, just as any donk can walk into a casino and sit at a slot machine and play for 2 hours and end up ahead. But would you do that? Would you take $1000 and play on a slot machine in a casino? (bonuses/comps/etc aside).
Poker is silly.

It is not enough to be good at chess, you must also play well.

Somewhere in the world someone is training when you are not. When you race him, he will win.
