playing more hands of a losing -EV just leads to more -EV.

Good point.

If I had to decide between playing 1 hand of blackjack or 200 hands using this system, I'd still go with 200 hands. One difference is when you're increase your base bet and randomly hit a BlackJack, the payoff is tremendous. You're more likely to hit a blackjack over 200 hands rather than 1 hand.

Any serious student of gambling knows that a martingale system has a house advantage that far eclipses flat betting with a correct strategy. I am so confident in this that I will gladly host your game.

Almost all casino games are -EV. I have dedicated a good bit of time to finding positive EV and EV neutral situations in casinos, taking advantage of promotions, learning to count cards, and whatnot. Martingaling is absolutely one of the stupidest things that you can do, unless of course you absolutely hate money. You want to go to the casino, get drunk, and have a good time? Flat bet minimum and tip the cocktail waitress well.

Whatever you do, do not martingale.

Pick up Kenny Uston's if you want a good read and want to give yourself a chance.

Where'd you get that figure? I already have a blackjack book called Blackbelt for Blackjack. It discusses various card counting systems, camoflauging your counting, and so on. I'm okay at very basic hi-lo card counting. I found that when in the actual casino, there were so many other pressures and time constraints that it was difficult to maintain the count. I would never want to do that for a living.

And online casinos make card counting worthless due to their terrible deck penetration, sometimes as low as 10%.

I'm only intending on doing this as a short term gamble. Nothing serious.

My record so far is losing 8 hands in a row (with a couple pushes inbetween). After you lose the 7th progressive bet, you pretty much lose it all.

Poker is silly.

It is not enough to be good at chess, you must also play well.

Somewhere in the world someone is training when you are not. When you race him, he will win.
