I made another trip. 3/6 limit hold'em, 9 handed.

I had in cutoff.

UTG(Villian) calls, UTG+1calls, 3 folds, I call, button folds, SB completes, BB checks.

Flop is . Blinds check UTG bets, UTG +1 calls, I raise, blinds fold, UTG and UTG+1 call.

Turn is . Both check to me, I bet, UTG calls UTG+1 folds.

River is . UTG checks. I bet, he calls.

UTG was pretty lucky that night but I noticed had some CS tendencies. He also looked like he didn't like the river card. It didn't look like an act, so I though he had a hand he might call with here and that his hand was made on the flop. Since the only hand to beat mine on the flop would be a set or made straight, I decided to bet here. I had seen this player bet out with the nuts many times into the aggressor, and I have also seen him check/call with many very good hands on the river that he should of check raised.

Now this hand, i wasnt exactly bettin for value- it was more of a two way bet, like it is possible i might get called by a worse hand, and its also possible i could make a mizor muck a better hand.

However ii had some history with this particular mizor-- there was one marathon session where i logged about 8 billion hands with him- hes a somewhat solid player, and probably a winner overall, but he does some strange ass shit once innawhile...this one hand came up in a blind battle where i had either TP or midpair, and he called my river bet with 8high on like a 9T6J2 board, .and i asked him 'what the hell were you beating?' and he said 'seven high of course'...so i figured if he had something like or even the , there was a decent chance he'd call me...but man, he called with absolute air. Pretty tite.

Well, obviously i dont post much here because im too much of a donk to take someone to value town, but this mizor took this other mizor on a pretty nice, all expenses paid trip to the valuetown beach resort.

Live play is the best. It was pretty obvious to me he didn't feel one way or another about the river, and called my bet without hesitation. I just wish the rake around here wasn't so damn large.

Now I know the spirit of Value Town is in getting value out of very marginal hands, and this hand I flopped the nuts so thats not exactly the same. But the fact that I was playing HU with a minor poker celebrity, and the hand she put in so many damn bets against me with, made it seem like a kinda tite trip to valuetown.
