Why do I feel like I'm at a 12-step meeting here. "Hello, everyone." <<Everyone>> "Hello, Tim."

Some fascinating stuff guys.

Summary for those who don't like to read lists: confused yin and yang.

1) My greatest fear growing up in Dallas was that my parents would move, and I'd have to make new friends. Terrified.

2) Between 18-23, I moved to LA, NYC, Washington DC, and sailed on a ship that circumnavigated the globe. I somehow ended up back in Dallas. Fear over I guess.

3) Before I am 40 (35 now), I am going to Antartica and Australia because they are the only two continents I have not visited.

4) I have an undergrad degree from Georgetown in international politics. Not a math problem in 4 years. I have an MBA in finance from SMU. Every class was pure numbers.

5) I have broken a lucky 13 bones, but I can still bench press x2 my body weight.

6) I was so shy in high school that I didn't even dare ask anyone to prom, etc. By my mid 20s, I was going to Vegas every year just to talk to different women. Then I met Finagirl there, and she's currently sleeping 5 feet away. Hmm.

7) At work I authorized $3.5mm in checks in one day (last week actually). I've also fired 25 people in one day (not fun).

8) I'm 35, and have never been married. When I was in high school, I had this incredible internship with the Dallas Mavericks. That was the first year they ever hand cheerleader/dancers, and I ended up losing my virginity to one of them. Now, 17 years later, the Mavs are in the finals, I'm actually thinking of marriage, and my current girlfriend is trying out to be a Mavs dancer. I have a Mav-o-centric universe I guess.

9) I have driven a golf ball 325 yards. I also drove it 325 inches one time and per standard man-law, I had to walk to the ladies tee with my thumb in my mouth with my pants around my ankles.

10) When I was an undergrad, I was a finalest for a Rhodes Scholarship. During finals, my girlfriend was VERY sick and in the hosptial in AZ ( I was in DC). The doctors advised me to come out. I convinced every professor but one to give me an extension. That one professor was giving me a zeo. I went to AZ, my gpa took a hit, I lost the scholarship, my g/f and I broke up eventually, but I've never once regretted my decision.

Being only 18 my list isn't going to be anywhere near as fascinating as some of the others posted, but i'll give it a go anyway.

1) I was very sick as a baby and in my early years, i had to have dozens and dozens of needles a week for several months, and after that I spent a lot of time in the hospital. My earliest memory is being in a hospital bed.

2) My parents are Indian, my mum's parents were extremely wealthy (tens of millions of $$ as I understand) but had to flee pakistan during the partition of india, they were robbed of pretty much everything when they left so they had to start afresh. I was born in Australia and have lived here my whole life, though.

3) I was the chess champion of my state (for my age) for a few years when I was young, until i lost interest in the game and stopped competing.

4) I've only ever been with older women. My first GF was 2 years older than me and my most recent was 5 years older. The youngest person i've ever been out with was a year older.

5) I've been on over 15 trips out of Australia. I've been to 4 different continents within 3 weeks.

6) From when I was 9-15, I wanted a career in IT. From 15-16 I wanted do get a degreei n pyschology and do something with that. From 16-17 I wanted a job in Law. Now that i'm 18+ I have no idea what I want, but will probably turn poker pro sometime this year.

7) I'm not a fan of much sports, though i've played a lot growing up.

8) I hate swimming in the ocean, I love swimming in pools. But I can't dive.

9) I like almost all music. I like almost all movies. I like almost all TV shows. I don't have a favourite colour, number, ice cream flavour, shirt, band, song, or anything at all. I'm strange like that.

10) I have a collection of porn on my computer totalling around 300GB (i just had to throw that one in there somewhere..)
Poker is silly.

It is not enough to be good at chess, you must also play well.

Somewhere in the world someone is training when you are not. When you race him, he will win.

So far, I'd have to give the trophy to Tim. Great write up.

Props to Roy. 300 GB of porn at 18? I saw Last Tango in Paris at 18. Now, that's a difference between generations, for sure.

When I play a patient and relaxed game I win - that simple.
