I can't really say I have my hand on the pulse of GOP politics, but I have a feeling he will pull it off.
This is not something I feel passionate about either. It is really an off the cuff remark based on his competition.
What would you have thought in 1999 if I said Bush was going to win? Hell, what would you have thought in 2004 if I said Bush would win?

If Rudy could somehow get the nomination, I think he wins (especially against Hillary). He is the perfect mix on issues...he likes less government and lower taxes, and he is much less conservative on social issues. The problem is he has to win Primaries in places like South Carolina, Alabama, etc. where his social views are not liked.
