"I studied some of this in my undergrad...there's no genetic difference athletically between black/white...it's all demographics and who, proportionally, enters the sport more. You don't see many black (ANY?!) in pro cylcing...
You DO see them in running, basketball, about equal in football...don't see them much in hockey...it's demographics, NOT ability. "
About equal in football? LOLOLOLOLOL.
How do you say this stuff with a straight face?
NFL is 54% black
NBA is 73% black
MLB is 39% black.
US population is only 13% black.
You obviously need to be a great athlete to play these professional sports. Of the 3, baseball players are athletic but dont have to have nearly the speed, brute strength, jumping ability and quickness that the football players need which is exactly why more white players can compete on the same level. And still, blacks represent 3 times the correct portion of the total population.
Youre right, you dont see many blacks in pro cycling, but if you did, they would dominate the sport. You made my point for me. Most of the sports that blacks dont dominate is because they dont play them growing up because of economic reasons. If they did play those sports, they would dominate them as well. If / when it becomes cool in the black community to play hockey, 15 years later they will dominate that sport as well.
Go to any little league field in the country (other than an all black area) and you will see more white kids than black kids. Why? Because there are many more white kids than black kids overall. So dont tell me that baseball has 3 times as many blacks as it should based on total poulation because blacks enter the sport at a higher rate. Its because they are better at it and more of them make it to the major leagues. Is that really that hard to comprehend?
You guys try so hard to keep your idealistic views no matter how wrong you are. Why does anyone care that blacks are more athletic? Its a fact. It doesnt offend me even though Im white. Theres one black kid on my sons baseball team. He is by far the fastest kid on the team and even though hes never played baseball before and most of the other kids have played for a year or 2 already, after 4-5 practices hes quickly becoming the best player on the team. Hes more athletic and has more talent than the rest of the kids. Am I surprised? Of course not. Does it bother me? No, why would it?.
