Hang on - whenI said this guy is the most naturally gifted card player I know, I meant it.

To be honest I was thinking og $100,000 tax free when I said 6 figures' but £100k/yr needs a win rate of 4 PTBB playing $400 NL for 40 hours/ week on 2-3 tables. Hard work but for someone as talented as this guy obtainable for sure.

Heck I'm making 4PTBB on the $200 tables at the moment and I'm a dreadful player really..

If he is into Magic the Gathering and winning that, I bet he crushes online poker.

Magic is probably 10x more complicated that NL holdem...Look at Justin Zee and other Magic Players that have been ripping it up on the NL games lately

How many of the people who only play poker actually play 40 hours a week?

I remember when I first started reading through the journals here notiching that most of the people who do play talked about struggling to play more than 25 hours a week.

Hahaha, MTG may seem more complex but its really more luck oriented then poker.

While there are all these cards, what happens is there are only a certain number of decks that work. Then everyone plays one of 5-6 decks that everyone pretty much uses, there is little originality except for when a new set first comes out.

I'm pretty sure if someone wanted to write a program to play MTG it could do fine, its just there is little use compared to one that can play poker.

The fact that he makes worlds all those times shows how little there is to magic.

Shouldn't the fact that me made the worlds 3 times running mean that there ISNT as much luck in MTG?
