"I play poker for a living."

Postby kennyg » Mon Jan 02, 2006 5:32 am

So my brother tim (wolvish) and I go to a couple of bars on new years eve. As luck would have it, there was no fucking women. Finally, I see two decent older chicks. I approach them, wish them a happy new year and came up with some random reason to talk to them.

Anyway, all is going well until I tell the 30 yr old chick I'm 23. At this point she obviously isn't interested. hmmm ok.....

ME:"so what do you do for a living."
AMY:"I'm in property management. *bored look on her face* what do you do?"
ME:"I play poker for a living, honestly."
AMY:*her face lights up* "Oh My God! You play poker for a living, that's so awesome! Hey Jaime, this guy plays poker for a living."
JAMIE: "I love poker!!"

Maybe it just works with the older chicks??

Anyway, we didn't get any..and amy was a complete bitch. Oh well, I gave it my best but they weren't there to get laid. At least I have an in since they said they are regulars.

I have never said I play poker for a living. I still feel kinda weird about it. Maybe when I do more than 4-5K USD/month I wont feel like this....

The girls already have most of the money and all of the pussy so they will control all the money anyway. Accept it.

You tell a gal you are a big time poker player and they want to help you throw off your score. You tell them the cards have been running wrong and your bankroll looks like an elephant stepped on, they are in the breeze.

Never tell a woman how you are doing on a day to day basis. Tell them you hold your own. Poker money has no home. They do not understand the concept of a bankroll cushion. Money is for shiny things in a gal's eyes

Gals don't love a loser, why should they?

I wear poker clothing all the time. A coat or hat from Binion's World Series of Poker used to sit in the closet. Now that poker is the rage, everyone is interested. Strangers initate conversations asking me if I play poker.

When I was young the women liked the fact I was a gambler with a diamond pinkie ring and a little pawn shop pistol easily hidden. Most wanted a tempoary adventure which worked for me. Now that poker is the rage, the poker groupies are everywhere and I am too old to take full advantage.

One real hint: Bad beat stories do not turn them on. When you win, they say you are lucky. When you lose, they say you are a fool.

Women are a lot like Ace King. They always look wonderful before the flop.
