Seattle DEMOLISHED Carolina. Damned impressive game. Take away that punt return for a TD (which the refs almost did), and that was a truly outstanding performance.

I think Pitt will be favored, and probably should be, but I am really looking forward to the game. It should definitely be worth watching.

I rarely bet football, so am I nuts to think that Pit -3.5 is great bet for the SB? Opinions welcome. I just don't see how Sea is even in the same league as Pit. Perhaps their defense is better than I give them credit for, but it would help if I ever saw them play a quality opponent. The NFC championship was over and done with the moment Carolina decided they were not going to make any effort to run the football. Take it from an Eagles fan - that doesn't work.

Hassleback is a QB out of the Brett Favre mold. Pittsburgh will force him into mistakes just like they did Plummer. He has no patience and that is a recipe for disaster against Pittsburghs relentless pressure defense.

NOBODY runs on the Steelers. Alexender will NOT look like the MVP. That I will guarantee.

Seattles defense is significantly weaker than Indy and Denver. I dont see Pittsburgh having a while lot of trouble controlling the line of scrimmage and ultimately winning the game. Seattle destroyed Carolina because they had no healthy RBS and turned one dimensional. They could easily triple cover S.Smith. It wasnt all that impressive a feat considering that fact.

Obviously Im biased but go back and look at some of my other analysis and you'll see its right on.

why is no one giving the seahawks any credit here? Shaun Alexander is the best back in the league and he's been running over everyone this season. Yes, Pitt will slow him down and he won't have 170 yards like he did against other teams but you make it seem like he will have 25 rushes for 10 yards. Hasselbeck has done some risky things but he's also made some outstanding moves and he will find someone open (Joe Jurivious). I'm not taking anything away from Pitt but Carolina was supposed to have a great Defense (not as good as Pitt) and look what they did to them. They shut down Steve Smith when no one else could. Seattle will win the Super Bowl.

Big Ben is ok, but he made quite a few stupid throws yesterday that either got lucky and were caught (the pass that Bailey should have picked and scored on early), or just didn't come close enough to anyone to get picked. He threw quite a few in the 'Eli Manning' mode where he was backing up and just chucked 'em. Bad habits like that will get you in trouble, trust me. If Seattle can mount a pass rush on him he will look no different then Plummer and Manning did vs. the Steelers. I think Pitt will be able to run well enough to offset that, tho, but if Pitt gets down early watch out.

Of course, I don't really care for either team all that much, so I will root for Pitt only because I think Holmgren is a tool.
