Hasselbacks stats are not career highs. He's been playing this well for 3 years now. The biggest difference in his game this season is that the receivers aren't dropping balls like they used to.

this should be a great game. Pitt is great, but they aren't better then Seattle and Seattle isn't better then Pitt.

Neither team has SB experience.

Pitts D is solid but so is Seattles.

Most people who rag on Seattle fall into 2 categories
1 - they haven't seen Seattle play or
2 - (The Tim Brown approach), Seattle has never won so its just habit to bet against them.

Let's just hope for fun game to watch, if Pitt doesn't take Seattle seriously it will get ugly. if Seattle doesn't take Pitts offense seriously it will get ugly.

The two most important players to watch are Palumalu and Tatupu

the game will be won on the line, and that's why I take Seattle

The only prediction I made all year came true.

I know the Hawks are not going to get any respect from most of the country, but they are the real deal. You can blame it on a soft scedule, but the fact is they are in the Super Bowl.

Ice, you can try to pick apart the Seattle offense because of their soft schedule, but they just played the #3 ranked defense during the regular season, according to the NFL website, and destroyed it. 34 points is a lot of points no matter what team you play, and noone can blame that on Carolina having their fourth string running back in.

Alexander had av MVP type game to go along with his MVP type year against a great defense, and he will do the same thing in the Super Bowl.

I always hear people saying that the Hawks should have lost a game, or they were not as good as the team they beat, but the fact is that they just keep winning. They were clearly the best team in the NFC and the game against the Panthers proved it.

I am one for one in my football predictions so far and I am about to make another........The Seahawks will beat the Steelers by a score of 30 to 17. Hometown pride baby.

Im not saying Seattle isnt good, but I rank them as the 5th best team

Their offense is damned good, but they havent played a defense even close to Pittsburghs caliber.

They destroyed Carolina because Carolina coulndt move the ball because of the RB situation. That gave Seattle way too many opportunites to score, which they have no problem doing. They wont get near that many chances against Pittsburgh.

Anyone here want to put their money where their mouth is? If so, let me know.

OK, can I ask a completely gridiron-green question here? Trying to learn the game a bit, have watched the playoff highlights and quite enjoyed it so far, and I'm going to watch the superbowl even though it's on about midnight here...

Anyways, the question is.... is Brett Favre a bit of a joke QB or something? I was always under the impression that he was a big-name player and one of the best in that position in recent years, he's one of the few american football players i'd know anyhow... Didn't he win the superbowl with green bay? Other than him, the only QBs i've ever heard of are Aikman, Montana, Marino, Warren Moon (? Did I make that up?) and Tom Brady. Oh, Vinny Testaverdie? Anyhow, have I been mislead by the cruel english media? Whatsup?

Brett Favre is one of the all time greats. This year was a bad year for him to some injuries his team had that his talent alone could not overcome. I know for sure he lost his top 2 running backs and his top receiver. But he is definately one of the all time greats. There are alot of teams who would love to have him even after a bad year like he had this year. I would agree that he is better than 90% of those in the league right now. When he was in his prime he was the best.

Favre was a great QB and will surely make the Hall of Fame, but he was / is a gunslinger. He will throw any pass, any time, into any coverage. He lives and dies by his arm and that leads to unbelievable comebacks and needless lost games.

I'm a Niners fan...watching Brett Favre in the mid 1990's was amazing and heartbreaking time and time again. The way he picked apart the defenses in his prime was pretty amazing. I think he probably should retire though...I think he can still play, but I think his luck has run out with his streak of very good offensive lines. It just looks painful right now(for him). Still, one of the best ever.

Warren Moon: A real guy. QB in old USFL league and NFL and has I believe more yards in the pro's(counting both leagues) than anyone. He could light up a scoreboard, even with sometimes no one to pass to. If I remember correctly, fumbled ALOT. Great QB though...fun to watch.
