I know everyone is asking how my progress is going with these series, so here's the results so far!

I have now completed:

Star Wars (5 games)
Double Dragon (4)
Mario (6)
Castlevania (5)

I'm currently on the last TMNT (SNES' Turtles in Time) which shouldn't take me long. I think I'm going to beat the Contras next (2 NES, 1 SNES, and 1 SEGA). I might not do the SEGA one since I've been skipping out on those for the other series.

Brian: I completed the original TMNT in about 50 minutes. I forgot how painful controlling the jumps were! Without save states, it would have taken me a lot more patience. And about half-way through the game there's this stage where spiked walls close in on you and you must quickly navigate down three long platforms or else you die. That took me a couple attempts. Once again, thanks to save states I didn't have to worry about re-doing everything.

Oh yeah... and the record for Friday the 13th is a little less than 4 minutes. I remember the game being insanely difficult but I've seen the winning strategy. I know I can probably beat it within 20 minutes at least (probably a lot of re-tries). The strategy allows you to get the torch (best weapon against Jason) as early as possible. Then you have to defeat Jason three times.

and jason's mom too which if you don't know the pattern through the woods to get to her, its such a pain in the ass.
