Cocaine derivatives are still widely used in medicine. Cocaine itself (and to a lesser extent, novocaine) is now rarely used though.

I have enjoyed following this tread and have respect for the honesty that was shared.
Drawing from 5 years of everything from street level narcotics enforcement to 6 months undercover on to 3 years of working with US Customs Service enforcing narcotics entering the Country from Mexico. I promise you there is nothing worst then a heroin addict. Nothing they are the worst of the lot. I can tell you story after story of dealing with heroin junkies half of them you won't believe but they are all true.
Now the key work here is addict. I agree that there is a percentage of the population that can be weekend warriors and never show a lot of effect from drug use. This percentage could be as high as 25%. So your getting 3 to 1 odds. But even for this percentage you have to have a income to support your vise. You have to gamble that the guy your scoring from isn't a cop or that your not going to get caught in transit. Example is an arrest was made on a citizen for fighting in public. At the jail he had a corner paper in his wallet and the case just went from a class "C" misdemeanor to a state jail felony. Name in the paper all the fun stuff that goes with it. Was he a junkie? No not even close. Did he think he would get caught? No way. But one slip up and it's all over.
Then I knew the girls that Ice talked about. Strippers, Whores ect.. Most of them were speed freaks. Some the dealers would keep in a apartment so they could get a piece whenever they wanted. He would keep them high. I have watched some beautiful women go from knock outs to ash grey pieces of crap.
It takes most people about 3 months to hit bottom. It takes the rest of there life to climb back up again.
Would I have sex with a girl I knew was using neddles? No way. Have I had sex with a girl using neddles? Who knows but odds are yes.
A snorter if she was hot sure I would.
But a realationship? Never ever noway just to much baggage.
So if your heartless like Kowboy and can bang em and leave em no matter how good they are then I say go for it.
You you have the need for a puppy and someone to take care of then it's best that you pass.
