killing in cold blood

just means pre-meditated I think as opposed to killing in anger ('hot-blooded' like you might do in hand to hand combat in war or if you found a paedophile in the act of abusing your 10 yr old)...

Deflecting that bullet would only have delayed the inevitable. Let's not think that Europe was all happy daisies let's smoke a fatty together before Ferdinand was assassinated. It was a pot ready to boil over, and the heat was rising. The bullet was just the event that triggered it.

If not that bullet on that day, then it would have been some other event on some other day shortly thereafter.

In any event, this has gone way, way off topic.

I can't believe all the goddam morons...

1) Calling Arnold a "murderer"

2) Nominating a 4-time convicted murderer and the founder of perhaps the most notorious street gang in America for a Nobel Peace prize. Who's next, Saddam Hussein? Osama bin Laden? Hell, they've already nominated (and given it to!) Arafat, so nothing should surprise me out of those asshats.

3) Whining that we've "killed an innocent man".

Hello? Where's your outrage that this man took out a family? Took a sawed off shotgun to them in cold blood? Showed ZERO remorse, hell, even laughed about it to his buddies right after?

Imagine he took out 4 members of your family. Or 4 of your closest friends. Would you still call him innocent? Call the Governor of CA a murderer? Nominate him for Nobel Peace Prize?

Or would you wish for the opportunity to strap his ass to an electric chair and pull the switch yourself?

Me, I'll stick with the latter.
