I like to stay at Ballys. It's the cheapest place that's right in the middle of everything. Nothing to write home about on accomodations, but clean and decent sized. Even in the worst heat you can still walk to Bellagio and Caesars right across the street, plus the 1-2 and 2-5 games right there aren't bad (and are downright loose at night), and they now link the two waiting lists between ballys and Paris poker rooms, which is about a 3 minute walk without actually going outside.

Paris is actually one of my favorite places to play if you wanna play a small 1/2NL game ($200 buyin)... I think it has something to do with the fact that it's basically RIGHT next door to the table games (ie... BJ, craps...) and just roped off that it gets more gamblers than most places...

I didn't play there last time I went, but the time before, the only thing I REALLY didn't like is that they put the damned tables RIGHT NEXT to the Paigow ones... So, every couple minutes, the friggin dealer would SLAM that little cup filled with dice on the table and everyone would go nuts... A little distracting, as it's about 1 1/2 times as loud as a normal airplane crash...
