MIke,

I think that is the way to go. Solid TAG ABC. Are you going to be bluffed out of some pots? Yes. But those pots are going to be small ones. Are they going to call me even if in a bad session I have VP$IP 10% and have only shown sets or better? YES!!! I dont see the point on bluffing. Besides, they will call most of the times.

Very nice session.

I think that I was on tilt yesterday since I played 3 maginal hands poorly and lost $125 on just these 3 hands.

That set me to wondering and I changed my ways.

Today I said no marginal hands like 78s, QJo and T9s.

Well it had to happen - me KK him AA and I lost $24. I flopped a king and he rivered a straight.

VP$IP 15.10% and ptbb/100 $24 for 384 hands :D

Different sites have different styles... For example, at Prima, Stars, and sometimes UB, the players are very weak/tight, and bluffing works a lot... I'm assuming you're playing Party, where TAG wins it every time... You can play straight ABC and still get a pretty good winrate...

I quit party and now I just play at Full Tilt - ABC seems to work with about 10% or less bluffs

My VP$IP is still low 15% for 237 hands today and ppBB/100 = 38 today - sure hope it holds up. :D

I strongly advise keeping your VPIP under 18...and your out of blind VPIP (look in the 'more detail' section of the PT general tab) to around 10-12. Play on the edge of weak tight/ultra aggressor: you want to be merciless when you've got the goods, but not be willing to go broke on stupid stuff like TPTK or two pair when you'll repeatedly get shown a set or better (or a better two pair, of course). This has been my biggest adjustment (aside from not playing AQ/AJ from EP/EMP at ALL) and I've maybe seen a doubling or better in my BB/100 (over 10ptBB/100 now for the last 5k hands).
