Good card. SB bets $12. Ok..now I think he has something like 2 pair or possibly 22. I rise to $36. Button cold calls?!?! SB also calls.

Wonderful. Straight and flush hit on the river. SB and I check to button. Button bets $50. Sb folds back to me.

$50 to call in a $179 pot.

Obviously I'm not gonna raise here. Call or fold??

with 1 person in the hand i'd just call, and regret it later

but with 2 people, its hard to imagine neither one having a made hand or completing a draw

with that said i would probably still call

Unless he is a known chronic flush chaser, you are pretty much stuck calling.

I don't slow play when there is a flush draw on the board. Plus, if you want to win a big pot, gotta make it bit. I raise that flop bet to $12 and ready to push that turn hard if a non club hits.

As you play it, I think you call because of the odds you get and he could just have a Q that he couldn't lay it down. I guess since you are posting you either layed it down and wish you didn't or called and lost.

He may have 22 or even AQ, I'm not that worried about him and since the sb folded i'm not worried of him making his flush either. I definitely call. I would even consider raising that river if I knew my opponent better.

I'd raise the flop though, the sb weak bet looks like he's chasing the flush, not a good idea to just call him.

Bleh. I call this too and probably hate myself. Button probably had something like

You are getting almost 4:1 on your call so I think you have to make this call. If he was bad enough to cold call a bet and a raise with a flush draw on the turn you have to pay him off for this price. You easily win this pot 1 out of 4 times, so the call is +ev. Plus being on the button he could be on a bluff, though every possible draw did just get there so its not likely he is on a missed draw.

No way button is playing just a straight draw. 96o or 64o on a board of Q72? Not gonna happen.

The only way he's playing is if he had two flush cards on the flop.

Which he does. Call and call and call with the flush draw is what the idiots like to do.

It's a flush most of the time.

But is it a flush 179 times out of 229? I say yes. If he wanted to bluff, he would bluff it bigger.

Fold but call isn't terrible.

Many of you say you are getting great odds to call (almost 4:1). Okay, but what are you comparing your odds too? What math are you doing after the river card has fallen here?

I called because of the almost 4:1 odds and he showed [6c] for the flush. I knew it was really likely he had the flush..but he made a very good size value bet.

Trodgers...the 4 to 1 odds mean that if i call, in order to be +EV I have to win 1 out of every 4 times.

Sorry you missed on the flush.

I understand that you have to win 1 of 4 to be +EV. But at the moment, when you are considering the call, what math are you doing? Do you run back over the possible opponent hands, odds of them happenign, and then compare to pot odds? Or is it just a feel (which is what I've been using).

I just take all the information I know and estimate what % of time I think I have the best hand, and compare it to my pot odds.
