Flush card on turn with an overpair

Prima - 0.25 / 0.50 No Limit - Cash Game (10 Handed)

- Hero is UTG+1 with $127.81
- SB has $25.00

Preflop: I have [Kh] [Kc]
UTG fold, I raise to 2.5, folds to SB who calls, BB folds.

Flop: [5d] [7s] [Js]
SB bets $2.00, I raise to 8.00, SB calls.

Turn: [Qs]
SB goes all in for $14.75, Hero calls.

This table was very passive (average pre-flop raise was around 2) so I didn’t think a limp raise was appropriate.

SB is a calling station. He doesn’t play that many hands pre-flop (VP$IP of 36) but he doesn’t like to fold once he enters into a pot (W$SD 32). He is also very passive (Total agg: .4)

On the turn obviously I don’t like him betting into me but there is now 21.5 in the pot and he is pushing all in for another 14 so I am getting better then 2:1 and I really don’t think that a flush pushes there. This player isn’t very tricky so I think that if he turned the flush he would check and let me continue the betting. QJ is a posibility but I don't think it happens enough to not call here.

Everyone always says not to pay off a flush chaser but in this case he has a short stack and I don't think he has the flush. What do you guys think?

I would call too. I would not be surprised to see him turn over the flush, but he could just as easily turn over AJ as well.

I think you have to call on the turn though I have a feeling he is calling you on the flop with QJ and you just got drawn out on the turn.

agree on the QJ. usually anyone leading out with a draw won't be the type to instantly go all-in once they hit it....i think you just got outdrawn.

Dont call a Calling Station!!! They only bet with the nuts. I would go all in that he has you beat. The flsuh is very very likely, since he wouldnt have pushed with only 2 pairs, I think.

Doesnt that total aggression of 0.4 shout: When I bet I have a monster!!! ??

I wouldnt have called 5 bucks I think.

I had a really bad feeling when he pushed in on the turn, but I felt like I was pot commited. The pot is now around $22 and he is pushing in for $14. That means I only have to have him beat a little bit less then 1 time in 3 to make money. I thought the he plays AJ like this enough to make a crying call here. Everyone agree?

He was playing KJ and I have no idea what he was thinking.
