Real short live session for me today. I haven't played live in a couple weeks because of school. I played my usual 1/3 Nl game. Won a really nice pot with AK. Called a $25 raise preflop in a 4 way pot flop is A62, check and call an all in from the button who has AJ. Lost a big pot with 34o out of the BB, got odds all the way out with an oosd that never got there.Pot was about $500 to the doney that went runner FH with his JJ after betting when an A flopped. Won a nice pot on a semi-bluff with JJ one of the lags in the game I love to play with, he thinks I am super tight everytime I raise he puts me on a set. So I flop a gut shut Str8 flush draw with J10 and make a big raise on the flop and he proudly shows TPTK and fold. He is right that most of the time when I raise the flop I do have a set but that only because most of the players in that game are calling stations and I try to bluff CS's as little as possible. Made one play I really didnt like. I had AJ flop is J93 with 2 hearts. I lead $15, loose player raises to $35. I call thinking I am still ahead. Turn is a K. I check he bets $40, my mind is screaming KJ but I call anyways. Turn is a brick, I check he bets $50 I fold. I asked him later and he claims to have had KJ. I have gotten so little sleep this week, that about and hour and a half in I started getting tired and was losing my concentration. I quit after 2 hrs up $99.

One good thing happened today in my live session. i was at my first jackpot table. Quad A's beat Aces full of 9's. Jackpot was about $4600, table share for me was $165. Other than it was a pretty crappy session of suckouts and missed draws/ flops.

First hand: I have AJs, I limp its gets raised to $10. I call so does 3 others. Flop is Ax Pfre leads $15, MP raises to $50 to put PFR all in. I reaise all in, PFR folds. Villians who looks suprised that I am still in the hands calls. Ugg of I have 12 outs, turn is an off suit 10, river is an off suit Q. Villian turns over A10o, two outter on the turn nice.

2nd Hand again AJ this time clubs This time I make it $15 from the button get 3 callrs . Flop is 10 . Checks to me I bet $35. BB pushs for $60 total, MP calls. I call too, turn is a brick. River is a offsuit K and MP pushs, I fold. MP has K10, BB shows A10.

3rd hand: I raise to $20 on the button with get 2 callers. Flop us . Utg pushs all in for $30. Folds to mem I have to call with 12 outs. Villian has KJ I miss turn and river.

4th hand: I have A7s in LP. Flop is A87, checks to me I bet $20, calling station calls. Turn is a 10. She checks I bet $30, she push her last $45 in the pot. I call river is another 10 and she shows k10o. WTF

5th hand: I have J9s (Brians hand) flop is . I check CS bets $20, CS from hand 4 calls. Turn pairs the 8. Checks around, river is a brick, for some stupid reason I decide to steal, I bet $40 and CS #1 instacalls with AQo.

6th hand: Shorty pushs from utg for $12, 3 callers to my BB with A9d. I call flop is A87one diamond. villian leads $10 I call. Turn is a [10d], holy draw batman. villian bets $20, I call. River is a brock, villian pushs all in. I fold Villian shows Q8 to win both pots. Ugggggg so many good cards against such a donkey.

My AA did hold up twice for medium sized pots. It has been a while since I flopped a set, 4 session I think. Crappy night of cards at a table that could have and should have been really easy pickins. Couldnt hit a draw to save my life. 6.5 hrs -$310 even with $165 from the bad beat jackpot.

Since I'm at school and the idea of studying chemistry sounds like about as much fun as getting kicked in the heads a couple of stories storird from this last live session.

First the jackpot story: Flop is AA3 turn is another A, oh baby all we need is someone to have an A with an better kicker than the board and someone else to have a PP and we win the jackpot. The two players in question one is a bitchy high maintence woman with a 1980's style perm, the other a donkey who just lost with AA (story below). River is an 8, the woman asks the table what to do, the dealer tells her she cant but everyone pipes in anyways. Finally see checks so does the guy, she turn over AJ he turns over 99 and jackpot. Then the entertainement starts, the woman finds out she gets $1200 and the guy gets $2300 so the whinning begins. Why does he get more than me? I won the pot. I hate this rule it is so unfair. I really just wanted to bitch slap this woman, you just won $1200 shut the hell up, no one is going to feel sorry for you. So the money shows up, she gets $1200 in chips and tips the dealer $5. I got $165 and I tiped $10, hell its pretty much free money as I look at it. The guy that won $2300 tips $300. The lady looks at the dealer and says " He is going to make the most here." Some people should be shot, poor bitchy lady she only got to win $1200. Oh well at least she lost a nice chunk of it back to the table because she is one of the worst poker players I have ever played against. See the running 10's hand in the previous post that she beat me with.

Story #2 So in hand 3 in the previous post. The first limper who is all in shows down AA and gets busted by K10 after I fold on the turn. After the hand his bitching that AA never wins for him. I try not to laugh at the fact that he limped and then just called my raise with AA. So a couple hands later I get AA, sorty raises to $20, he starts the hand with $60. 1 player calls I reraise to $80. Shorty calls all in other player folds. By some minor miracle from god my AA actually holds up. Guy from the previous hand says "Wow they hold up for you." I make the usual yeah I guess I got lucky comment. The guy next to me looks over and says, yeah well yeah you actually played them right. Hmmm maybe thats the idea.

Back to my usual 1/3 game. To my pleasant surprised they increased the max buy in to $300. Same crappy players just more money on the table. I finally had a winning day. I played really well, and got some good cards.

Two major hands.

Hand 1: Villian here I have a great read on. Not sure what it is but I play really well agasint old people. Villian makes it $13 to go, I am in the BB with 108d. I call, already I have him on AK, he usually raises to $20 with a big pair. Flop is !097. Great flop for me, I check, he bets out $20. And now I know I have the best hand. I just call, planning to check raise the turn. Turn is a 3. I check and he pushs all in. I instacall, he mumbles nice call. River is my 8 he announces I have a str8 and turns over AJ. Hiya no good play goes unpunihsed. Down one buy in.

I made a couple of nice hands. I limp from the button with K10d. Flop top 2 pair, someone leads I raise, BB pushs all in for $200 with AK and he doesnt suck out.

Hand 2: I have $600 in front of me, Villians is super agressive. I look down at QQ in MP. it is raised to $15 in front of me, I raise to $45. Villain reraises to $90. One player in the middle calls all in. I think about it and just call, not sure exactly where I am. This guy has been really agressive but usually opening pots, not making raieses and reraises. Flop is 764. He leads $100, I took a lot of time and finally decided I had to be beat. I fold and he wins a huge pot with AA.

Still havent won a big pot with a set. I did flop one set today but it was with JJ after I raised preflop and got almost no action. Overall +$289 Nice to win finally

Well another winning session not a huge number but it was a good day. I played the 2/2/3 nl game at the Ca. Grand. This is the casino where I built my bankroll. The games are really loose abd crazy.

The day did not start well. I flopped trips with a 88J board I bet $40 on the flop and get 3 callers.. Turn is a 9 completing the flush. I check and it checks around, river is a Q. Checks ro the button who bets $50, I think there is a decent chance he is trying to buy it, plus I'm getting 3:1 on my call. Doofis has 910.

Next hand is just plain ugly. I limp from mp with AK. Flop is K86 with two diamonds. I bet $20 which gets called by 2 players. Turn is another 6. I lead $60 and get one caller. River is a 7 I put him all in for his last $50, he calls and turns over K7. Nice

So I rebuy and am now in the game for 3 buyins. I move to the main game after about an hour. Villian from hand 2 is at that game. He has just busted blown through the money he took from me and is on buy in #2. He has about $150 to start the hand. He raises to $10, I am on the button which in the game is also a SB. 4 people call so I call. Flop is [10d] . Villian bets $10, player in between raises to $25. Do I scrap my plan to raise and just call. Turn is the , giving me top pair, flush draw, open ended striaght draw.. Checks to me I push all in. Villian calls his last $100 or so with . turns out it was a terrible turn card for my hand as villians picks up 9 more outs. The river is a brick and I win. This was one of those super rare moments when you actually get to take some of your money back from the doofis who caught a miracle suckout card.

So I play for about 2 more hours and nothing. I fold 44 after a raise and a reraise all in and I would have flopped a set. I went the whole day without a big pair.

Finally one more nice hand. UTG who is pretty tight raises to $15. I call with . Flop comes down 448 with two spades. UTG bets $40, I raise to $140. Player behind me calls all in for $120 and UTG folds. Player behind me has KK and told me he though we were heads up and that I had raised preflop. I actually wish that he had folded, UTG had $400 more after his bet and I probably would have taken more from him. He said he folded QQ. Still I won a nice pot and it put me up for the day.

Totals for the day 4.5 hrs, +$84

One more California Grand session to report, I am still card dead.

I started playing 4/8 Limit o8. Crazy freakin table, variance to say the least. First big hand I play I have A234 double suited from the button, it is capped before it gets to me . I flop the nut flush draw and the low draw. I is 3 bet before it gets to me, I cap. Turn makes my nut flush. It checks to me I bet and get 2 callers. River makes the low, so I now have the nut nut. Check to me, I bet and the utg check raises. I reraise and she calls with 2 pair. I scoop an almost $200 pot a 4/8.

Then the fun begins. I another hour and a half of omaha without winning a hand. Finally they call my name for No limit. No limit is not much better, I play no limit for about 3 hrs and won one hand and that was with AA all in preflop for $28 vs A5.

Final hand of the day, not really happy how I played this hand. I am the button and utg min riases to $6. I call from the button with $2 already invested. Flop is [10c] X. PFR bets $10, mp raises to $40. I just call, PFR calls. Turn is a brick, MP bets $80 and I call I am getting odds if pfr calls too but he fold. River is another brick, Mp pushs the rest of his chips and I fold. I should have folded the turn, I called to big a bet knowing I am drawing to 30% hoping that the pfr would call and make my call a good one which it wasnt. MP had 1010 for top set and rivered a boat.

Totals for the day, won 2 pots in 4.5 hrs of poker. -$187
