3 Guys are going to share a hotel room with one another (I know it sounds gay but just get over it). The room is $30 so they pay $10 each. That night the hotel manager realizes that he charged the men too much...that infact the room was only $25. He gave $5 to the bellhop to give back to the 3 men. The bellhop instead of trying to figure out how to split $5 three ways decides to keep $2 for himself and give each man a $1 back. So after the bellhop gives each man $1 back they have now each paid $9 for the room. $9 x 3 = $27 + $2 the bellhop kept = $29...what happened to the other $1?

nice one - very clever misdirection..

the "$9 x 3 = $27" includes the $2 that the bellhop got. then the $1 x 3 refund makes $30.
