In addition to "Where the wild things are", I also thoroughly enjoyed all of the Tolkein books. I'm kinda surprised nobody's mentioned them yet. The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings trilogy, and even The Silmarillion. The latter one though I believe was actually written by his son from all of his fathers notes. Still good though if you like fantasy. But I have read the LOTR series so many times over the years i have lost count.
