Ok, here's what happened.
I folded when the bring in bet got to me. So I wasn't invloved in the hand other than the ante.
lost to !!!! This was on a Limit 1/2 table and yet the pot was still $166.25!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Biggest pot I have ever seen at any kind of Limit 1/2 table.
Then this window pops up on the screen saying something about a Bad Beat Jackpot. I'd never been a part of one of those before so I didn't realize that I got to take part in the proceeds! I made that hand just for making my ante and folding!
I can only imagine what the 2 guys actually playing the hand made!

The best part about this for me is now I'm back above zero on this months Will Hill bonus!
I've been trying to clear it playing 1/2 7Stud high and haven't been doing all that great. I keep looking for the low split. Too much Omaha H/L lately I guess.

I think I'll just finish this out at the Limit Hold'em tables this month where it's safer for a retard like me.

the will hill one is prorated by the level. I think the jackpot is usually around 1200, but you only get like 40% at a 1/2 table.

Ill be there hitting the stud for the next day or two. Look me up.

I'd like to Jus but I really can't. I proved to myself today that I need to really study some more before playing any more 7Stud High only. I kept looking for a low which I am sure hurt the bottom line for me in that game. If it hadn't been for the bad beat JP thingy, I would have finished below zero there for the day. I need to learn to let go of a hand sooner I guess. Anyway, I switched over to the 1/2 Limit tables there and did much better.

haha, do you know how much it pains me to fold A52? A27? I went through a stretch yesterday where I had at least 18 monster hands, which meant I was card dead. Frustrating but fun at the same time. I think that playing Hi will really help my HI/Lo game once I get back to it.

Paradise Poker, which for me has always been my little security blanket when things get rough, just totally hammered me today. In fact, it caused me to invoke my new BR stratedgy for the first time. Luckily tomorrow is just around the corner and I can play some more. I guess I will just use the rest of the night to read and study.

Well shit.
I just finished updating the front page of my journal and now I'm really depressed. I am actually in red for the entire year to date. In other words my fricking BR is actually lower than it was at the end of '05. That by the way is also about ~30% less than it was at it's high point sometime in January!

I can't believe this is all just variance. I must be doing something fundamentally wrong.

So, I guess I will just drop back down to limits no higher than 1/2 until I have it built back up. I mean I am technically rolled for 3/6 but with all the losing I am doing I can't justify staying up there for the time being. I mean I'm doing so badly right now that the bonuses haven't even been able to keep me above the zero mark for the year. For some reason, I just suck at poker right now and I can't justify playing at the limits I've been playing anymore. I'm going back down to 1/2 and lower on the limit side of things and no higher than NL50 on the NL side but probably NL25 if I do any of that stupid game.

I'm also going to start spending more time at the Omaha H/L tables as the players I've seen there are so bad that I can just nut peddle and probably make a few bucks. I'll be happy if this month just ends up being just break even on the play side and plus on the bonus side.

Gonna keep reading too even though that hasn't seemed to have helped much so far this year.

MTT's with unlimited rebuys and then an addon SUCK!!!!
Even when they are cheap!

I played a $1 +.10 MTT at Betfreds today with unlimited rebuys for the 1st hour and then 1 addon at the 1st break.
I lost allins with AA, KK, QQ, AKs, AQs (put me out of tourney) AJs, ATs. I did win one or two maybe along the way but the tourney was definitely not meant to be mine. I finished 31st. Or was it 34th? It don't matter. I needed final table to break even with all the rebuys and that just did not happen.

Anyway, tourneys are a lot of fun but I don't think I like the unlimited rebuy thingy. Will make sure to play freeze outs or 1 rebuy + 1 addon in future.
