party confiscates all money from $500k winner

Postby kennyg » Sat Feb 18, 2006 2:18 am

This guy who is apparently a big online player won the $500k guarenteed using his grandmother's account. He was playing the tourney with two accounts from the same cpu... he busted out on his first name and on his grandma's name came in 1st.

party closed his account and took the $140k plus the $40k he had in his other account.

he admits he cheated here and gives details into what happened and party's swift response: http://www.pocketfives.com/69F0D82A-3AE ... AFD95.aspx

this is obviously a big thing in online poker. discuss!

he deserves it... both for blatant cheating and being dumb enough to get caught.

already have been discussing it. Also JJ isn't "apparently" a good player. He's one of the best young tournament players out there and will bounce back from this. Even though he is a shithead.

I think he deserves jail time to boot.
If this doesn't add to the "online poker is rigged" conspiracy theories, I don't know what would. He said lot of his friends were doing it, that tells me that there are a hell of a lot more than that doing it then. You don't get just one mouse in your house, for every one you kill, there are plenty more hiding in the walls.
I don't think these kind of folks even stick to just the higher limit games and tournies. There have been times that I have seen what I am sure was this same kind of crap at 2/4 and 3/6 tables. Probably just the newest cheaters practicing up before hitting the higher limit games. Now I just leave a table when it starts to look kinda fishy to me. Sure does make you wonder sometimes. Where have peoples morals gone to? Where's the sense of fairplay? Honesty? This kinda stuff really makes me sick. He deserves to get what Matt Damon and Ed Norton got when they were cheating at the Police station and got caught. His ass kicked thoroughly and every cent he owns taken away. Then make him be a pizza delivery boy for the rest of his life and never let him play poker again.
