It's not a display of good judgement is it? Shooting the guy you're hunting with is careless in the first place, it's not as though an unknown guy was standing behind a bush. And to top it all off he's boozing it up like a redneck on a nightshift.
I don't know how prevalent alcohol and guns are mixed in the US and/or Texas but it seems quite obvious it's a bad idea, I'd don't think he'd be Vice President long after this incident in the UK.
