I am surprised, yes. I am surprised that these people are doing this. I am surprised that they are getting away with it.
I am VERY surprised that people on this site apparently have more interest in the subject of boxer briefs than in this.
Did everybody know this already?
Or is everybody assuming it's not true?
Or does everybody just not care that the US is no longer a nation that has any respect at all for the rule of law?
Overstatement? Go read the links and then tell me it's an overstatement.
People like Iceman, especially -- all the law-and-order types on this board -- I'm completely shocked that they have nothing to say about this. This is supposed to be a nation governed by laws and procedures that insure that the guilty are punished and the innocent are not. At Guantanamo, they are not even trying to figure out which is which.
Some of these people were teenagers when they were picked up. They're the same age, roughly, as Xaston and kenny and a whole bunch of other folks who read this site. They literally never did anything wrong, and they've been in jail for going on five years now.
Yes, juskimo, this surprises me. A lot. Both the reality, and the complete non-reaction to it.
