Newcastle, Corona if I'm short on ze cash.

Normally though, just give me some Tanqueray or Beam, beer takes too long to get wasted.

I agree with Monk on the Deuchars, tasty stuff. There's another I can't remember (Witches something?) thats similar, though better, only had it in one pub in Sheffield. Pedigree is good too.

There's nothing like a brandy and coke to put me in a good mood, though the amount of brandy I put in it, it should do.

Vodka I have to stay away from, it makes me somewhat agressive, though not violent and it makes my face go somewhat red and blotchy.

I'd also in agreement when someone earlier nominated Capirhunias, they class. I can't spell it either.

Pendle witche's brew probably, not too bad but not my favourite. You also might be thinking of wychwood, which is fairly poor but cheap for a real ale. I think they do a few different ones. I agree on the pedigree, it's good stuff. Old speckled hen too, forgot that, though it's a bit rich and dark for my tastes.

If you like deuchars you really need to try golden promise. It's also made by caledonian, but it's organic (i.e. no nasty additives or shit on the crops, less hangover potential and doesn't give you a headache like synthetic crap like fosters), light and very palatable golden ale, but smoother than most, well worth tracking down. My local morrisons does 4 bottles for £5 on real ales and golden promise is just about all i drink now, though sometimes i try a new one or an old favourite (black sheep or taylors sometimes).

Cheers for the recommendations Monk, I'm only just getting into my ales. The lack of hangovers from them is pretty impressive. Also quite like Bombardier which is very dark and seems to give me headache quite easily. Maybe it's just my friend in Sheffield who takes me to pubs with good ales as he's very keen but there seems to be a lot of choice for small brewery beers in Sheffield, is a general Yorkshire thing?

Bakers Whisky. I had a hot blonde texan roommate who only drank whisky up, so I went on a whisky kick for a while. Bakers is something like 108 proof and very smooth.

Yorkshire, yeah. Not aware of too many good ones around sheffield, they do have a couple of local breweries though. Black Sheep is probably the biggest non-national one in yorkshire, from one of the bro's who used to own theakstons until they sold it. Has become more than a local brand now, think they pretty much sell nationwide, like deuchars and some of the london ones.

If you like bottle conditioned ales coniston bluebird is pretty good.
