So I sometimes go through the vascilations where my game favors one style of poker or another. I have got stuck about 180 playing stud h/l in the last two weeks.

I am actually up about 150 playing blackjack at party the last week. I take the last denomination of my broll divisoble by 5 and play bh with it (if I have 82 at the end of the day, I play bj with 2, etc).

I have got winner for a goodly amount tonight playing HE, and I think my game is swinging back to HE, seeing as I cannot win playing stud hl.

I won a whopping $95 pot tonight. This might not like seem like much, but it is the biggest pot I have ever won online.

Not too much studying this weekend, but a few beers and some cards.

Went on a valley ralley, which did include a session sledding down a hill in my friend's backyard at 4am on friday.

Played a decent amount of cards this weekend. Went back to nlhe, and was doing relativly well

Got the roll up to 215 or so, then this is how last night/this afternoon/this evening went

KK into AA, twice.
AK into AA
44 (with the 4D) on a 853D flop, get called by some nutter with 86o. Miss, miss.
Then some dude called down my turn all in, 10 into a 18 pot, with my QJ v. his AK on a J863 board and spikes an A on the river.

Also played some MTT, which were about even due to an 98th in a 10 mtt.

Boiled down to busting to roll to 100, getting so frustrated that I would rather have to re-deposit than play it, playing a 100 hand of BJ and hitting AK on said hand. Roll is now 250, maybe party wants me to keep playing.

Total Billed hours + Bar Study time for the month of January: 252 hours.

And since I moved here on the 1st, didnt start studying till the 6th, when I got moved into my apt, that is basically from Jan 6-31st. Guess that works out to about 10 hours a day for 25 straight days.

So I am shooting for 200+ hours in the next 18 days. Tomorrow is my last day of work until after the bar, so I am going to be hitting the books from 10-12 (thats am-am) every day for the next 18 days or so.

Besides that, not much to report. Going to take tomorrow night off after work, then rocketing into study mode. Oh, and I think I might take lunch and watch the game on sunday.

I'm really looking forward to this being over so I can get more than 5 1/2 hours of sleep a day for longer than a day or two in a row.

Study time today: 11 hours

Put in another tidy 1.5 hour session, ended up 34bb ($17).

Random bar fact of the day: The Lovercamp Rule (tests are usually named after the person involved in the case, Miranda was some guy in Arizona, etc(and yes everyone finds it funny that the guy who brought this case was named Lovercamp)), or when is it ok to escape from prison.

Ok to escape if (must meet all factors)
1. Faced with Forcible Sexual Assault, Death, or Immdeate Bodily Harm.
2. No Time to Complain or a history of futile complaints
3. No time or opportunity to resort to court
4. No use of force or violence against prison officials or innocent persons in escape

Got all but about 3 hours of lectures finished over the last couple of days. Have to do Business Orginazations and that is it, which I have kind of been saving for last, as it is probably my best subject, being what I do.

My goal for the next 10 days is 1000-2000 MPT question and 80-160 sample essays. I spend more time on questions I get wrong than on questions I get right, so hopefully that will be on the high end. I dont think 150-200 questions a day and 8-12 essays a day (considering I outline 3 of 4 and fully write the fourth) is out of the question. I think if I can get at least 1000 questions and 80 essays I will be ready to go. I know I will be ok as long as I continue to put the time in.

I am starting to get excited for this test. I get pumped up for tests.

I feel much better about poker after today. Went back to stars and put in about 3 hours during my downtime today. I find poker is the most relaxing thing on my study breaks not involving Swedish twins and a tub of cool whip. Finished up +64bb (+32) for the day. Felt like a solid session without too many notible hands. Hopefully it will stay this comfortable.

Your journal has inspired me to draw up a (less ambitious) study time-table instead of just doing it when I feel like it/have a deadline.

Yes, gentleman, 1 week to the bar.

I was sitting in the UAA library tonight when it closed and I realized that the bar is 7 days from tomorrow.

I was like, there is no way it is that near, I have at least 50 hours of work before I will be ready. Then I was like, wait a minute, I have at least 70 hours of studying left. I actually said "Yeeah" in the library. Thankfully there was like 2 other people and they were both packing up as well at that point.

So yeah, Ive got about 600 multiple choice questions left and am hoping to get through 150 or so essays in the next 3 days.

Off to sleep.
