I figured my QQ was no good against two players out there - possible rivered flush or 3-of-kind.. or should I have made a crying call?

I think the river in hand 1 should be a bet/fold, I doubt he will raise you on the river without an A or straight and you lose value from all the other underpairs that will call your river bet.

Hand 2, ugh that is a horrible river, and UTG all of a sudden wakes up and shows aggression. You're getting 9:1 on the call but I doubt this pot is yours even that often. I think its a good fold.

Yeah, I think the river is a call at 6max or maybe higher limits, but they're pretty unimaginitive at .25/50 (I'm guessing at least, I've never played it). I also don't wanna be raised by the sb on the river with the flush, though i guess if they're unimaginitive that doesn't fit the bill.
