This guy on bodog is a big winning player. He plays TAG and then will switch gears in an instant, and run over the table. I play with him often (i play with the same guys a lot) and noticed this trend. Last week in a variety of hands: I took his stack slowplaying a set, then I bluffed checkraised him out, reraised him out preflop, then I called the flop and lead the turn to take it.....then the latest hand:

I limp in EP with [4d]. He raises to $80 from the SB. I call.

He leads for $250. I call.

He checks. I bet $350 and take it down. I show



Since these hands, he has refused to continuation bet when I'm in a hand with him. I've called about 5 of his raises with a variety of hands in any position, and he will just check down.

I completely control his play now and i think it's hilarous. I imagine everytime I call one of his raises he says, " fuck." ::)

standard sponge play vs continuation better - I use it when I need to slow one down too - he has to slowdown with the mono board without monster and his flop overbet indicates he is scared of the flush draw (and therefore you can rep a made flush)- mind you it would still scare the hell out of me at these amounts
