was my river check too weak? i was kinda paranoid that MP might have caught a hand better than mine and was waiting to trap me on the river... i need to work on not being afraid all the time because im used to getting outdrawn. sigh scarred for life from the fishes.

surprised me that MP 3-bet his pocket fives preflop...

Not a great river card, a lot of straight draws sb might have led out got there, I think a check behind is probably alright here. I like the turn bet though, it sets you up to allow you to check the river.

MP limp/raises 55? When the BB and SB has already called there is no way he'll get it heads up anyway so he must be in it for set value, he misses the flop and still calls two bets with 2 outs and a RR straight possibility, at most 3 outs. Then he calls a turn bet with at most 2 outs.

The SB cold calls a raise OOP with ATo.. Ok, quite loose, but then he cold calls again when it gets back to him AND he bet/calls a completely missed flop. On the turn he's actually got odds to draw to his gutshot but only because he's put in 6 bets already with a hand that he should have folded in the first place.

As I said, I'm no limit player but this has to be some pretty stupid plays.

Stoneburg, play low limit LHE for one week and you'll see crap you would never have even imagined as a PL/NL player. I've been playing .50/1 on party for a week now and people playing 33 to the river for multiple bets and raises with 5 overcards on the board is not at all uncommon.

i like to check behind with less than TP (and sometimes even TP) on the river. lots of people play for 2pr or better and will CR on the river. with this kind of a vulnerable hand, i have to think that more often than not, the only hands that will call you will beat you.

pt/pahud can help with reads on this. if you have a SD monkey on your hands, you may want to value bet.

fwiw, the hand plays different HU than 3-way. i might be more likely to value bet HU.
